
If you lived on an island loaded with food and were in good health, you might not need money. Unfortunately, most of us do not live on an island and need money to pay for food, shelter and basic health and dental care. I have heard from countless people stating they are not able to find a job for many valid reasons. Many people claim employers will not hire them because of very superficial reasons such as poor dental care. Regardless of the reason, you are still a valuable asset!
How can you make money if nobody is willing to hire you? Think outside the box! What does this mean? There are many respectable methods to make money that do not require a traditional job. Think back to the days of running a lemonade stand. The basic idea is to sell a small cup of lemonade for a nickel, dime or quarter and at the end of the day, total your money and reward yourself! This is a very basic concept that goes a long way in understanding ways to make money.
Write down all of your skills. If you don’t think you have any, think again – everybody has a skill of some sort. Perhaps you are punctual, take good notes, attentive, designer, artist, etc. Even a good story teller can make money. How? You could be a freelance writer – freelance means you work for yourself and only accept the projects you want. There are many sites on the web that allow you for post your skills and wait for someone to offer you a job. For example, visit guru.com – this is huge site that allows you to post your skills along with any related experience and rates.
Consider reselling items on ebay! If you are not familiar with ebay, take a few days to understand ebay and how to sell items. Once you understand the system, you will be armed with the know-how of selling items. You don’t have items sell? Not a problem! Ask neighbors, friends and even strangers if they have anything to sell on ebay. You will be surprised how many people have something to sell. How do you make money? Easy, you sell other peoples items and charge a percentage of the items winning bid price. I know of some people/places charging 30%!
