I am a wife and mom of 6. We were doing fine until 3 years ago when my husbands hours at work were cut because of the economy. I am in need of very serious dental work. My two back bridges fell out and now I cannot chew and my mouth and jaw are in pain. I have infections in my gums and that is making me sick. I have gotten several quotes on the work I need done and the lowest estimate is 7,000.00 I need this work desperatley but they will not do the work till it is paid in full and I honestly need this work. I have the dentist and his info all ready. I could repay 75.00 or more a month. Please, Please help me. It is painful to live this way. I am in pain, cannot chew and am too embrassed to smile. I want to feel better and be healthy for me, my husband and children. This is hurtful and depressing. I am praying for an honest loan and I will make honest payments. Thank you

Back in Philippines, I don’t have dental insurance. But in Taiwan, everybody is required to pay a monthly insurance of 1,077 pesos. So all medical and dental check ups are covered here. For teeth extraction or regular cleaning of teeth, we pay only P72, without insurance it would be P2000. for medical check ups usually including medicine, we pay P215. So I think it’s worth the monthly insurance we pay to the government. Hope we have the same transparent and corrupt free government insurance system in Philippines. Thanks!

im not sure if you should really work somewhere just because of the benefits that the job may provide financially. you should have a job that you enjoy – i mean it is going to take up 40 hours of your week. a job in a dental office would be a great job but make sure its really for you. as for your teeth have you tried applying for any type of financial help from your state for health insurance – sometimes even if you cannot be covered they will give you a voucher for emergency help.

I don’t have a dental insurance too. It’s very expensive but we have no choice but to take good care of our teeth. WE really have to spend some bucks. When I was still a student. I always make sure that I go to my dentist for regular clean-ups and fillings, if needed. What my dentist used to do is to make me pay for her services on a staggered basis since I am still a student. Not too many dentist would understand that most Pinoys can’t afford the dental fees especially if it’s only a one time payment. My dentist understood my situation being just a student. I didn’t bother to ask my parents about the dental fees because that’s definitely not their priority. I make sure that I get to save up enough dime from my daily allowance to be able to pay my dentist. Sorry for the litany, LOL!Thanks Jess for the frequent visits and comments at my blogs. I need a personal dental care, I have no dental coverage and I unemployed due to layoff and not called back. I'm very self conscious of the cavity in my front tooth. The cavity is getting larger eating away at the side which made a hole u can see through. It was not so long ago I was living a great lifestyle I never thought the day would come when I couldn't afford to go to the dentist. I don't even like looking in the mirror let alone smiling. My teeth are getting worse and I want to save my teeth not have to get dentures.
